FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Email confirmations come from Shopify and include download links through a company named SendOwl. You can look in your spam folder to see if you can find an email referencing Small Scenes Nature Photography, Shopify, or SendOwl. This usually solves the problem. If not, please contact us and we will help you out as soon as we can.
Yes! Please contact us with your order number and we will get you a new link as soon as we can.
For PDF Ebook Purchases: Click on the link in the email you receive after making your purchase. This will open the PDF file in a PDF reader (like Adobe Reader) on your computer. Note: If you purchased an ebook bundle, you will need to unzip the file first before accessing the individual PDF files.
For Video Tutorial Purchases: Click on the link in the email you receive after making your purchase. For most of our videos, this will initiate the download of a zipped file. You will need to unzip the file using the utility that is likely already installed on your computer (for Mac, you should be able to double-click on the file; for Windows, you will need to select "extract."). Once you have the file unzipped, you should be able to view the video in any player that displays MP4 files. If not, you can try the VLC Open Source video player, available for free here.
Make sure you save your documents/files in an easy-to-access place once you open them. The download link offers limited downloads, so please save your ebook or video files to help ensure that you can access them in the future.
Note: If you purchased an ebook bundle, you may need to unzip the file first. You can either do this on your personal computer or with an unzipping app from the Apple App Store.
Click on the link you receive after making your purchase. This should open the PDF in Safari. Because of the large file size of our ebooks, you may need to wait a few minutes for the document to fully download in Safari.
Once the document has downloaded and is open in Safari, click the share icon at the bottom (the square with the arrow pointing upward). This will open a menu with options like “Save to Dropbox” and “Open in iBooks” (the specific options will vary based on how you have your device set up). If you want to open the document in a PDF reader app like Adobe Reader, iBooks, Dropbox, or Kindle, click “Save to.../Open in…/Copy to…” and select your desired app. The document will be loaded and saved into that selected app. You have to follow these steps to save your document for future viewing, as opening it in Safari WILL NOT save the ebook PDF on your device.
The download link allows a limited number of downloads, so please save your ebook file soon after you access it for the first time. Also, please make sure you have saved the file in a second location or backed it up (like on a computer or in Dropbox) in some way to ensure that you will have future access if something happens to your device.

No! In buying one of our ebooks or videos, you are purchasing a PDF document or video file that is licensed for your personal use only. We have put a great deal of hard work into our products and ask that each person who wants a copy of one of our ebooks or videos makes their own purchase.
Generally, all sales are final for ebook and video purchases. We try to provide a lot of information upfront so you know what you are purchasing. If you are dissatisfied with your purchase, please reach out and we will see how we can help you out.
When you make a purchase through our store, you are purchasing a PDF or video file, not a hard copy book or physical video. After your purchase, you will receive an email with a download link from which you can access your downloadable files.
For our store, we use Shopify, a large and widely used e-commerce company, to help make transactions safe and secure. Still, we know that some people prefer PayPal for online purchases. Thus, you can select PayPal as the payment option when you check out if you prefer. You can also use Apple Pay and some other payment services during checkout if you prefer.
The most common problem in downloading our ebooks is not having an app capable of reading a PDF on iPads and iPhones. For Apple devices, make sure that you have iBooks, Adobe Reader, the Kindle app, or another PDF viewer installed on your device before you try to download and save the ebook. Once you have a PDF reader installed, click the ebook link in your confirmation email, let it open in Safari, select the share icon as described above, and select the app you wish to use.
If you buy an ebook bundle, you may need to unzip the file before you can download the individual ebooks. For Apple users, you can find apps for unzipping in the Apple App Store or you can unzip the files on your computer before loading them on to your Apple device.
A few buyers outside the United States, especially from China, have had issues with the ebook links we send out after a purchase. If you are a buyer from outside the US and are having trouble with the download link, please contact us for assistance. Please let us know if you are able to use Dropbox, as Dropbox is our back-up method of delivering links. For ebook purchasers who cannot access Dropbox links, we will email you a low-resolution version of the PDF document for you to use.
Please use this contact form on our SmallScenes.com website to get in touch. We will respond as soon as we can.
